“ First time trying their wings and they're good. I got the spicy wings (not spicy to me, but good flavor). They also have buffalo, BBQ among other flavors. The wings are baked, so they will take 20 min or more to arrive. They have a huge selection of beers; mostly their own and some guest beers, cocktails, wine and NA beers. Whether you choose to sit outside, inside or by the bar, you know you'd get great service and you might even get to interact with the regulars and the staff there. I love this place! ”
“ I love this place to watch a game! They have happy hour everyday on drinks and their beer list is expansive. The wings are amazing they do not fry them- grill only which gives a whole different taste! I prefer extra crispy and the honey bbq. I've tried the caprese salad and the Caesar salad with chicken both are really good! Any pizza is delicious here - thin crust. Service is really good too! Everyone is sweet and you see the same people, highly recommended for a sports bar! ”
“ Happened upon this place while on a walk in the area. We sat at the bar. I enjoyed the Hop Sucker Double IPA which was hoppy and crisp. Totally hit the spot! My partner got one of the guest taps and she enjoyed it. I got a slice of their cheese pizza which did the trick. The staff was a little busy but got the job done. Overall, it was a good experience. Nothing fancy but comfortable. Everyone is welcome! ”
“ Only about four house beers were on tap last night, but I enjoyed the Hop Sucker IPA. My girl liked her Blonde. An excellent choice for Monday night wings, just $1 each after 6:00. We opted for "spicy," which means their Buffalo flavor. Almost like a marinade rather than a saucy mess. Cooked in the pizza oven with nice char on some edges and a little healthier (I guess?) than the deep fried style you find most other places. Friendly service from Charlie. Look forward my next visit! ”
“ This is a friends go to hang and when we all go we always have fun. Simple menu and a cornerstone spot for our queer community. The menu items all have hilarious bawdy names and it's an easy outing. I personally love the garlic nuts - I said I like their nuts and the pizzas are solid and seasonal ones tend to be a better bite in my opinion. Drinks are good but it's the community come on in we love you feel that I like. Parking can be a pest but it's worth the visit for service, food and fun. ”
“ I was surprised that I had never been in here before it was very spacious bar with seating inside and outside, lots of TVs all around the bar and they had the Padres game on which was great. my friend and I stopped by for a quick drink before our dinner reservations down the street. We ordered two blueberry Moscow mules. They were good, but probably should've asked for a double. That would be my only complaint I guess. More alcohol please! Don't judge it's the Weeknd after a long work week lol I definitely want to come back and try their food. ”
“ I was initially not aware of the Hillcrest Bewing Company Restaurant. It is tucked away at the side of a small shopping center known locally as Pride Plaza, since it is right beside a prominent Pride Flag flying over Hillcrest. I recently dined at a new restaurant in the plaza called Celler Hand, so i saw the Hilllcrest Bewing Company on that visit and made a mental note to return sometime soon. I decided to visit on a Monday, that I presumed would be quiet. However, to my surprise, there happended to be some kind of game on the many television sets that are suspended over the bar, so the crowds were beginning t oarrive soon after i got there. The hostess was a touch abrupt and matter-of-fact as to her greeting. Once the waiter came over, he was busy, but remained kind as well as efficient. I orered the very thin crust pizza, and it was pretty good. I think I ate most of it. ”
“ How have I never reviewed this spot? My boyfriend and I make this our go to when we want to go watch the game on tv and enjoy tasty pizza. Typically we like to grab a seat at the bar if there is space or if we are there with a group we like to grab one of the larger tables outside. The service here is always great and anytime I have gone in everyone is peppy and happy which in return makes it an enjoyable experience. My boyfriend loves their bbq chicken pizza which I will have to say is pretty good I personally love a classic pepperoni but also love to check out their monthly special pizzas! They also have other tasty options like garlic knots and a variety of wing flavors. Their patio is also dog friendly so if you have a pup there are always a lot of people out there with friendly dogs. Also if you don't have time to sit down and enjoy, just call in and order a pizza Togo! ”
“ Get a group together and Kiki with drinks and pizza at this laid back spot! HBC is a really laid back bar and restaurant in the hillcrest hub, very indoor/outdoor, perfect for large groups or a drink/ date with a friend. I love feeling at home in an LGBT community space! They have a great selection of cocktails, beer, and pizza, you can't go wrong! What I love most about the pizzas is the generous toppings! They are committed to each pizza really being unique in their flavors. Coochie Coochie Carnitas - 5/5 - Mexican taco style pizza, such a San Diego moment, very filling! Margherita Mary - 5/5 one of their lighter pizzas, a succulent bite with the tomato slice and cheese. Sweet Hot Pig - 5/5 Hawaiian style with a LIGHT kick Breadsticks - the dough is super good, taste just like the pizza crust, and the marinara sauce was bomb Caesar Salad - 4/5 enough for 3-4 ppl, nothing crazy Cocktails are a step above normal bar style drinks, but not quite speciality craft speakeasy level. Lots of choices though, with their many Margaritas being my fav. Extensive beer list. You can definitely split a pizza amongst two big eaters, or even three. The servers here are all really funny and like to be silly and give you nicknames like "doll" "Jan" "Queen" "Diva" etc. ”
“ Great place to get chicken wings and pizza Happy hour is great The service is fantastic and waitress was so attentive and friendly. It's not loud, great place to sit and enjoy great company. Love it!!! A must try ”
